Job Description

Summary of Position

The Electrician Associate VII may perform a variety of significant tasks supporting the overall performance and safety of pistachio & almond production machinery and systems. Tasks are performed across multiple facilities including our locations in Lost Hills, Kings, Wonderful Hulling and Shelling (WHS), El Dorado, and Firebaugh. The Associate VII electrician is expected to have full knowledge and be able to teach and mentor functional and critical skills for Associate III through VI electricians. This position is subject to performing all electrician tasks at Associate levels III through VII across multiple departments.   

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain food processing, manufacturing, packaging, and material handling electrical systems at an expert level.
  • Lead and support small projects and cross-functional groups, ensuring the timely completion of assigned work.
  • Collaborate with operations staff to provide rapid customer service and support in a production environment.
  • Communicate concisely and professionally with support teams, peers, and Zone Leader to ensure any unsolved issues are escalated appropriately.
  • Prioritize and complete tasks based on urgency, safety impact, and production needs, including responding to unscheduled service requests (Do It Now calls) and scheduled services.
  • Utilize Slack to respond to service requests and document daily issues encountered.
  • Accurately account for daily work and deliver a clear, concise pass down for Zone Leader and next shift.
  • Troubleshoot E3+’s, E300’s, VFD’s, soft starters, and high-voltage components at an advanced level.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering team to resolve complex systems issues.
  • Engage with 1200A devices under direct supervision.
  • Dispatch team members and resources based on priority.
  • Lead a team in the installation of complex conduit systems (Projects) involving multiple motors, control units, wiring, and general electrical projects.
  • Interpret control panel schematics provided by engineers with minimal assistance.
  • Accurately update Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and escalate when performance is suboptimal.
  • Appropriately communicate and escalate when projects or tasks are off schedule.
  • Conduct Audits to identify potential issues and follow up on completed projects.
  • Escalate and communicate to Zone Leader when employee conflicts arise.
  • Safely and correctly pull electrical wire and bend conduit following standard work procedure.
  • Aid in demonstrating and explaining standard work procedures and techniques with colleagues.
  • Participate in Harvest-related preparation, service requests, or projects.
  • Maintain all required food safety and safety certifications and adhere to safety procedures.
  • Operate company vehicles to complete job-related tasks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including Associate III through VI.

Pay Range: $27.85 - $34.05

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) recommended.
  • Trade or Technical Electrical certification recommended.
  • 3-7 years of related experience recommended.
