Job Description

Summary of Position:

Under the supervision of the Purchasing and Inventory Manager, the Parts Runner performs part pickups and deliveries to the warehouses, shops and ranches as needed. The schedule for this position is Monday – Saturday 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM with the potential for overtime. A valid California Driver’s license with acceptable record is required.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Functions include but are not limited to the following. Must be able to move freely between tasks depending on workload, season, etc.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform safe part pickups and deliveries.
  • Keep warehouse and shop up to date on delivery schedule.
  • Maintain delivery van clean and operable.
  • Delivers intercompany mail between Wonderful Orchards ranch offices and main office.
  • Represents Wonderful Orchards with a positive friendly demeanor.
  • Makes miscellaneous purchases with petty cash or company assigned credit card then submits this to the department manager in a timely manner.
  • Verifies products received are accurate on the accompanying packing list.
  • Manages daily schedule to ensure timely return to Wonderful Orchards facilities.
  • Adheres to safety and operational procedures.
  • Follows all traffic laws.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, shall, and/ or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent

SPECIFIC KNOWELDGE, AND SKILLS:

  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Proficient with basic computer skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and oral.
  • A team player, flexible, consistent, and reliable, able to work with minimal supervision.

Specific knowledge required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job includes:

  • Basic parts knowledge either in an automotive or agricultural environment.
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate with other departments of the organization.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple parts pick‐up and deliveries.
  • Strong customer service skills, communication skills and positive attitude.
  • Reads and follows simple to complicated instructions daily.
  • Must have good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to provide quick solutions and improvise on existing ones.
  • Capable of following directions and navigate city and county roads.

LICENSES, AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Valid California Driver's License and have a satisfactory driving record.
  • Forklift Certification preferred but not required.

Pay Range: $18.55 - $20.00, Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
