As an Associate Brand Manager, you will play a key role in shaping and executing consumer marketing strategy for Wonderful Seedless Lemons®. This is a great opportunity to help build a fast-growing brand that is revolutionizing the lemon category. You’ll bring strong project management skills and the ability to see projects through from idea to execution. Associate Brand Managers combine strong analytical skills with adaptability, tracking market and competitive trends while adjusting strategies to fit changing business needs.
Our marketing team partners with senior leadership to drive strategic initiatives and deliver growth. As an Associate Brand Manager, you’ll serve as the link between sales, finance, vertically integrated operations, and our in-house creative agency, helping bring our brands to life in market.
This position is based at our West Los Angeles office on a hybrid schedule – in office Monday through Wednesday, with the option to work remotely Thursday and Friday. The role also includes periodic travel to our Citrus headquarters in Delano, CA.
Job Description
- Drive the annual brand planning process Wonderful Seedless Lemons® and manage the effective execution of marketing plans and campaigns; support marketing efforts for Wonderful Halos®
- Partner with Wonderful’s in-house creative agency to define creative, media, and PR strategies, providing direction for citrus marketing and creative campaigns
- Draft creative briefs for advertising campaigns and articulate relevant feedback to the Agency
- Analyze the performance of our citrus brands and relevant categories by leveraging multiple data sources, and track key success metrics around marketing efforts
- Collaborate with Trade and Sales teams to provide creative, analytical, and ad hoc support
- Project-manage ongoing packaging updates and point-of-sale initiatives, working closely with sourcing, print production, and NPD (New Product Development)
- Manage the marketing budget tracker and invoices for the citrus brands
Qualifications
- 4+ years’ relevant marketing or strategy experience or MBA with 2-3 years’ work experience
- Consumer goods industry experience is a plus
- Experience analyzing syndicated data, preferably Circana/IRI or ACNielsen
- Understanding of general business principles (e.g. P&L, trade economics, and promotions)
- High level of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Understanding of packaging, advertising, promotions, and point-of-sale marketing
- Excellent analytical acumen to offer fact-based strategic insights
- Strong project management skills
- Executional excellence with attention to detail and adherence to deadlines
- Ability to multi-task and perform in a fast-paced environment
- Strong verbal, presentation, and written skills, including creative briefs
- Strong interpersonal skills that facilitate interdivisional networking
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field; MBA is a plus
Pay Range: $110,000-120,000 and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
