Join our team as the Plastics Operator I. The Plastics Operator may perform a variety of significant tasks and must be able to perform all General labor duties, which contribute to the over-all quality and safety of POM Wonderful products and its employees. This may include performing tasks in multiple areas, including but not limited to Bottle Decorating machines, Screen Fabrications, operating bin dumping machines, bottle feeding and performing tool changeovers.
Compensation Range: $18.50 to $19.50 an hour
Job Description
What our Plastics Operator 1 will do:
- Must be able to read and comprehend a production schedule
- Must follow all standard work procedures
- Ability to work safely with chemicals
- Ability to troubleshoot basic failure symptoms of the machinery
- 5s knowledge
- Compliance with the company’s GMP's
- Ensure that the work area is clear of any hazardous materials
- Abide by company policies and procedures that are implemented or when revised
- Ensure all controlled documents are completed and accurate.
Qualifications
Skills & experience that are necessary as our Plastics Operator 1 will include, but not limited to:
- Responsible for maintaining the Bottle Decoration line with good quality printed bottles
- Performing duties, such as but not limited to: moving materials, verifying accurate screen artwork, production counts, dumping Gaylords, removing defects as needed, machine changeover, setup, operating, and adjustments.
- Ability to complete all production paperwork accurately
- Ability to create systematically finished, decorated bottle tags
- Ability to consume systematically bareware bottle tags
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to move hands and arms with high dexterity manner
Screen Fabrication
- Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work alone at a steady pace
- Accurate labeling of created screens
- Inventory control of consumable items
- Inventory control of finished screens
- Artwork verification (version A, version B)
- Ability to operate the exposure machine
- Ability to operate drying oven
- Ability to operate a pressure washer
- Ability to operate the screen stretching machine
