Job Description

Summary of Position

We are seeking a strategic Talent Advisor to drive our talent acquisition and development efforts across Wonderful Orchards. This role will focus on attracting top talent, supporting employee growth, and building a strong pipeline of future leaders through our early college and internship programs. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a passion for talent management and a proven track record in effective talent strategies.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

Talent Acquisition: 

• Responsible for talent acquisition strategies to attract and recruit high-caliber candidates across all levels of the organization.

• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding for assigned areas.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers to understand their needs and ensure a smooth recruitment process.

• Utilize various sourcing methods, including online platforms, social media, and networking events, to identify and attract top talent.

• Attend and coordinate local career and college job fairs. 

• Maintains compliance with all federal, state and local regulations, including proper dispositioning of candidates and document retention

• Support a best-in-class onboarding experience for both new hires and managers, reinforcing our commitment to being an employer of choice

Talent Programs: 

• Support and create organizational development programs including individual development plans and job specific training programs

• Conduct training needs assessments and develop customized training solutions.

• Facilitate training sessions and workshops on various topics, including leadership development, technical skills, and professional development.

• Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvement.

• Oversee and coordinate high school job shadows as part of the Wonderful Education initiative. 

• Drive the success of college summer internships within the Wonderful Scholar Intern Program

• Build and maintain relationships with local colleges and universities.

• Coordinate the recruitment, selection, and onboarding of interns and early college participants.

• Design and deliver engaging and impactful internship experiences.

• Other duties as assigned. 

Pay Range: $70,000 - $80,000 may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience. 

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field, Or combined equivalent education and experience

• 3 + years of experience in talent acquisition, Talent development, and HR experience required. 

• Experience with early college and internship programs and building relationships with educational institutions. 

• Familiarity with HRIS systems, recruitment platforms, and talent management tools.

• Knowledge of employment law, corporate recruitment practices

SPECIFIC KNOWELDGE, AND SKILLS:

• Bilingual English/ Spanish Required

•Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

•Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to quickly adapt to new challenges.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Ability to multi-task, establish priorities, meet deadlines and 

• Excellent written and oral communication skills, public speaking and presentation skills

• Active problem-solver and results-oriented

• Ability to work well in a team setting

LICENSES, AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS:

• Valid CA driver license
