Senior Accountant, Family Office

Their Family Office is seeking a Senior Accountant to start immediately to manage the accounting and reporting of the personal household spend of a multi-generational family.
This is an exciting opportunity to perform various business management functions across a wide-array of areas. The Senior Accountant will be part of a small-team that works closely with a broader team of corporate professionals from business unit accounting, legal, treasury, tax, insurance, HR, and philanthropy groups, among others. Come help us make an impact! Please note that this role does not provide investment advice/analysis or manage any investments. The Senior Accountant will support and report to the Resnick Family.
This position will be based at our West Los Angeles, CA office. We work a hybrid schedule with an in-office requirement Monday-Wednesday and the option to work remotely on Thursday and Friday.
Job Description
- Review all daily journal entries and all monthly and quarterly closing activities including general ledger maintenance and balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for each family member
- Coordinate with the Family Trust Team for financial planning and analysis
- Review credit card activities and entries for all employees
- Oversee bill payment schedule and coordinate transfers to fund accounts
- Coordinate with Corporate Treasury to manage bank accounts and bank services
- Respond to frequent ad-hoc requests for financial information and financial analyses
Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of work experience in Public Accounting with at least 1 year of experience with review work
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting of Finance (or related field), CPA preferred but not required
- Strong knowledge of both cash basis accounting and GAAP matters
- Previous experience accounting in a Business Management firm or for HNW individuals preferred, but not required
- Superior problem solving and analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Suite with emphasis on Excel - experience with Intacct and Bill.com a plus
- Knowledge of investment accounting preferred
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment which requires multi-tasking and excellent communication skills
- Strong investigative skills including researching, problem-solving, critical thinking, evidence collecting and reporting
- Scrutinous mindset
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a close-knit team
- Unquestionable ethics
- Incredible attention to detail and organization
- Proven clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, interacting with a variety of stakeholders
Pay Range: $90-000-$110,000 and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
