Job Description

As we embark on an exciting phase of growth and transformation, we’re rolling out Oracle and revolutionising the way we manage our financial systems. To help aid this journey, we’re looking for a dynamic Reporting & Project Financials Specialist who will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and delivering innovative reporting solutions that empower our business. In this role, you’ll help shape and configure Project Financials processes within Oracle, ensuring our teams have access to accurate, actionable data every step of the way and well into the future.

The reason for this fixed term role is to help with a global project to enhance our commitment to continuous improvement.

Here is some of what you will be doing:

  • Collaborating with Finance and operational teams to capture and translate reporting needs into clear, actionable requirements.
  • Designing intuitive reporting frameworks, interactive dashboards, and insightful outputs using Oracle’s powerful analytics tools.
  • Building, testing, and refining financial, operational, and project-focused reports that drive smart decisions.
  • Supporting the configuration and end-to-end testing of Project Financials modules—from project setup and cost tracking to revenue recognition.
  • Leading data validation, reconciliation, and migration activities to ensure a smooth transition to the new systems.
  • Developing user-friendly guides, training materials, and resources that help teams get the most out of reporting tools.
  • Delivering engaging training sessions to equip business users with the skills to access and interpret critical data with confidence.
  • Providing hands-on post-implementation support, swiftly resolving issues and driving continuous enhancements to reporting capabilities.
  • Partnering with the Director of Strategy & Transformation and the Senior Director of Finance to prioritise high-impact projects and initiatives.

Qualifications

Here’s what you’ll bring to the table:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field—or equivalent hands-on experience in a similar role.
  • Proven expertise in crafting financial and operational reports, ideally within Oracle Fusion or another leading cloud-based ERP platform.
  • Solid understanding of Project Accounting modules and end-to-end processes.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and modern reporting tools like Oracle Analytics or Power BI to transform data into powerful insights.
  • A knack for developing clear, engaging training materials and empowering end users to adopt new tools with confidence.
  • Exceptional data validation, reconciliation, and analytical abilities that ensure information is always accurate and reliable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams and present information with clarity.
  • Strong time management, organisational, and problem-solving skills to juggle priorities in a fast-paced environment.

This is a 12-month fixed term role based in our Parnell office. You will have the right to live and work in New Zealand at the time of applying. The successful candidate may be subject to undergo a Police Check and/or Pre-Employment Drug Test.
