Business Strategy Coordinator – 3-month fixed term role

Job Description
As the Business Strategy Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in bringing our strategic vision to life. You’ll dive into data to uncover insights, craft clear and compelling reports and presentations, and keep high-impact projects moving forward. By coordinating initiatives and driving strategic priorities, you’ll help fuel the company’s growth and shape our success story.
What you will be doing:
Strategy
- Provide analytical support to the Strategy Manager across key initiatives.
- Analyze and produce financial statements with confidence.
- Build robust financial models in Microsoft Excel.
- Develop clear and compelling PowerPoint presentations.
- Assist in creating persuasive business and investment cases for new projects.
Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to mapping and enhancing business processes.
- Maintain clear documentation reflecting process changes.
- Help plan and facilitate process improvement sessions.
- Review and refine the format of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Project Management
- Keep project documentation organized, accurate, and up to date.
- Leverage tools like Microsoft Project and Smartsheet to plan, track, and deliver initiatives.
- Coordinate project meetings, share timely updates with stakeholders, and drive alignment.
- Capture meeting minutes and distill key actions and insights.
- Research and gather critical data to support informed decision-making.
- Maintain and update a variety of project reports to track progress and outcomes.
Master Data Management (MDM)
- Support updates to master data for ongoing projects.
- Identify data requiring review, cleanup, or management to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Qualifications
Here’s what you’ll bring to the table:
- A tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Management, Economics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in business analysis, strategic planning, or project coordination.
- Expertise using project management tools like Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, and Excel to plan, track, and deliver projects with precision.
- Confidence in crafting polished, engaging presentations in PowerPoint.
- A solid understanding of financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Familiarity with modern project management approaches such as Agile and Lean.
- Strong skills in financial modeling and market research to back up strategic recommendations.
- Experience in a Big Four professional services environment (a definite plus!).
- Outstanding time management and organizational skills, with sharp attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication that inspires confidence and clarity.
- Commercial savvy and a genuine passion for business strategy and growth.
- A talent for building strong relationships and collaborating seamlessly across teams.
- A proactive mindset—self-motivated, driven, and always ready to learn.

This full-time 3-month fixed term role based in our Parnell office and will support project delivery while assisting the team in managing additional workload. In return we offer a challenging and stimulating environment. You will have the right to live and work in New Zealand at the time of applying. The successful candidate may be subject to undergo a Police Check and/or Pre-Employment Drug Test.
