NPDL operates 9 containerships, moving +240k TEU between AU, NZ and the Pacific Islands, as well as the USA.  We have strong partnerships with other shipping line, moving cargo across 25 customer destinations in 16 countries.

Job Description

Reporting to the Group Manager of Customer Experience, the Customer Experience - Support & Analyst plays a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our international Customer Experience team's order-to-pay process. This critical function involves meticulous oversight of financial transactions within CargoWise and Oracle systems, ensuring timely vendor payments and accurate cost reporting aligned with our guidelines.

 

What You'll Be Doing:

As well as ensuring consistency to drive a standardised, world-class approach across our agencies, you will be:

 

  • Raising requisitions and Purchase Orders with accuracy and precision
  • Investigating cost discrepancies and escalating where needed
  • Comparing budgets vs. actuals and telling the story behind the numbers
  • Serving as a trusted point of contact for all cost-related queries
  • Championing cost validation best practices
  • Producing insightful reports to support decision-making
  • Collaborating with internal teams to improve cost visibility
  • Ensuring process and policy is being followed by each country in conjunction with Group Manager, Customer Experience
  • Supporting automation and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assist with Project related work in CargoWise & Oracle

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring to the Table:

In this role you’ll bring some experience in cost management, finance, or operations, but we are looking for a sharp and analytical thinker who has a love for working with data.  With a collaborative mindset and the confidence to work with multiple teams and stakeholders, you will also:

 

  • Have 3+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Have great communication skills – you can explain numbers in a way everyone understands
  • Be detail-oriented, proactive, and not afraid to take the lead
  • Have a track record in identifying process improvements
  • Be proficient in MS Office tools, particularly Excel – any experience you may have with PowerBI, CargoWise or Oracle would be an advantage
  • Possess exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strategic mindset
  • An ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
