Warehouse Assistant/Driver - The purpose of the position is to manage inventory and ensure that stock accountability is maintained. The incoming goods records are maintained and well documented for every delivery. This role is an integral member of the Warehouse function and will make a strong contribution to a high performing team culture.
Job Description
- Manage the warehouse and report any issues or outstanding queries.
- Ensure respective container products are inspected and cleared by relevant authority.
- Ensure cyclic count and monthly stock takes are efficient and accurate. Liaise with supervisor on cyclic count and stock take.
- Receive the right imports and post all stocks in the system as received.
- Provide accurate cyclic and monthly stock take reports to the supervisor.
- Make stock adjustments relating to the cycle count and highlight the reasons for the variance with the approval of the client.
- Investigate and advise your supervisor of any write-offs on any negative stock.
- Inspect and maintain accuracy of any product received or dispatched i.e., receiving and dispatch,
- Report immediately any product damage, open seals or incorrect labelling or any other relative damages.
- Balance all stock received with the supplier invoice and capture in the system.
- Report any variances to the supervisor and manager, the same will be escalated to the client
- Process all invoices and delivery document within 48 hours.
- Supervise any given staff to ensure all daily tasks are being carried out successfully.
- Ensure the warehouse is well organized and product flow is managed in an effective way.
- Avoid placing products in aisles unless authorized by the supervisor.
- Ensure maintenance of all equipment used in the warehouse is carried out.
- Maintain accuracy whilst dispatching physical stock.
- Ensure that the assigned Warehouse is well always maintained and proper GMP are followed.
- Follow the FIFO (First in First Out) process for local orders.
- Maintain 100% accuracy through the stock transfer process.
- Ensure that all delivery and transfers are carried in an efficient and careful manner preventing damages.
- Operate vehicles in a safe and efficient manner during delivery and relocation of stock.
- At point of delivery strictly offload referring to the provided document.
- Ensure all products are shrink wrapped before stacking them on the racks.
- Adhere to all SOPs.
- Ensure all GMP Standards are followed.
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure successful outcomes.
- Report to work on time according to your agreed start time
- Comply with the Code of Conduct policy.
- Ensure you understand your reporting responsibilities when you are going to be absent or late for work.
- Ensure no action on your part results in damage to any company assets.
- Work with team members, team leader, supervisors, and managers to meet
- Storage layout and as required in accordance with Company policies and procedures and legislative and regulatory requirements
- Carry out other duties as and when required by management.
Qualifications
- Secondary School Education. Pass in English and Math
- A certificate in Supply Chain management
- 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Physically fit
- Attention to detail
- Have strong time management skills and high degree of attention to detail
- Self-motivated and capable of handling multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Ability to work either independently or collaboratively as needed
- Experience in the shipping industry is preferred
- Competent user of MS Excel and MS Outlook.
- Group 2,6,9 License.
- Dynamic Team Player.
