Pest Control Field Scout

Overview:

Scouts field searching for signs of pest problems including but not limited to insects, diseases, weeds, and nematodes.

Here's what you'll do:

• Walking fields checking for insects, diseases, weeds, and other issues.
• Placing and picking up insect traps
• Release biological control organisms where warranted
• Collection soil and tissue samples for lab analysis
• Other technical tasks as assigned by supervisor
• To understand and follow Supervisor’s directions and meet standards set for each of the jobs that may be assigned
• Performs all tasks in a safe manner.  Required to wear all safety gear assigned and asks for instructions when unfamiliar or lacking knowledge of proper safety procedures.

Here's what you'll bring to the table:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Valid California Drivers License
• Excellent planning and scheduling abilities
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to read and write English
• Citrus experience preferred

Pay Range: $19.00 - 20.50 per hour. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
