Bonded Warehouse Supervisor

Williams & Gosling PTE Limited has a vacancy for a Bonded Warehouse Supervisor to join their Wailekutu Warehouse Team. The key function and purpose of this role is to oversee the supervision of Bonded Warehouse and warehouse staff, to oversee the devanning of cargo, issuance of gate pass and overall supervision of all warehouse functions.
Job Description
- Oversee the bonded warehouse operations in line with Customs Requirements
- Work with stakeholders on site to ensure correct procedures are followed when releasing cargo
- Maintain a proper record of all bonded cargo kept in the warehouse
- Ensure cargo devanned matches with manifest and report any variances
- Co-ordinate teams to ensure timely devanning of cargo
- Ensure tally sheet is correctly instructed with any important details relevant to the customer
- Surplus Cargo or short landed cargo must be reported immediately
- Ensure that photos are taken during devanning and loading operations
- Ensure the bonded warehouse is accessed by only those approved by Customs Officer
- Ensure proper documentation of all cargo released or accepted into the bonded warehouse
- Assist with receiving of export loose cargo as and when required
- Assist and co-ordinate team with unpacking of night run cargo
- Ensure all equipment required are compliant and safe for use
- Ensure Environmental Health and Safety is practiced by all in the warehouse
- Act as a role model demonstrating the Wonderful Way Mission and Core Values
- Support high standards of Health, Safety and Wellness across W&G
- Mentor, provide direction, personal development and reinforce accountabilities to all Operations employees
- Ensures a high standard of performance management delivered, ensuring continuous improvement across all KPIs
- Any other duties requested by supervisor
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in the areas of Business Customs or a related discipline
- Must have 2 or more years supervisory experience in managing of bonded warehouse operations
- Knowledge in the freight industry with experience in asycuda and manifesting
- Advocate for providing exceptional customer service
- Cross functional freight service experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Office, PowerPoint)
- Analytical, Listening, Patient
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication
- Hold and maintain a full driver’s license
