Operations Finance Manager

As an integral part of the FIJI Water Finance Team, a qualified candidate must have experience with cost accounting and financial reporting and be a strong team player working in collaboration with international teams. This role requires initiative, drive and curiosity of the business – a business that is more than just water.
Job Description
- Lead development and execution of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, focusing on underlying business drivers, key financial and operating metrics, and sensitivity analyses
- Responsible for monthly financial reports, quarterly forecasts, and annual budgets in partnership with Corporate FP&A
- Partner with plant finance and operations teams to develop and maintain budget/standard costs, cost estimate revisions, and actuals for end-to-end supply chain including:
- Procurement of raw materials
- Commodities
- Production overhead
- Logistics
- Manage timelines and coordinate communication of key financial data points to enable functions to deliver complete and thorough business plans on time
- Lead direct report on analyst responsibilities, including preparation of monthly close and journal entries, monthly department-level financials with variance explanations, department-level forecasting and budgeting, and assessment of key business metrics
- Collaborate with Operations team to monitor budget adherence and ensure good financial decision-making
- Own maintenance of internal transfer prices
- Lead development of pro-forma financials for prospective new products
- Take large quantities of financial data and analytic results and condense them into a coherent story with clear, easy-to-understand conclusions and implications
- Utilize Oracle to develop value-added reporting tools
- Understand financial operations of the business and educate others inside and outside the Finance team about the financial performance of their respective area
- Focus on key performance indicators and/or ongoing process improvement opportunities
- Partner with Accounting on annual audit
- Work closely with the Operations team to understand past, current and future trends of material pricing, production cost and logistics expenses
- Stay connected with current corporate and operations initiatives
- Regularly review business processes and procedures and recommend changes to improve their efficiency and/or effectiveness as needed
- Plan, review and analyze all capital spending projects & adherence to budget
- Lead, mentor and development of direct report and collaborate closely with finance team in Fiji
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in leading CPG or retail enterprise FP&A and financial reporting
- Development and management of the financial reporting for operations, cost of goods, and capital projects
- Strong understanding of GAAP standards and procedures required
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills required; knowledge of VBA is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics or a related field; MBA and/or CPA is preferred
- Strong and meticulous analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Collaborative team player, strong relationship-building, and active partnership with cross-functional teams and flexibility in managing across time zones
- Hands-on / Roll up your sleeves approach, working with the team to produce high quality work products within strict timelines and changing priorities
- Curious and wants to understand the "why", use knowledge to streamline
- Self-starter with ability to work independently; high sense of urgency and entrepreneurial spirit
- Ability to interact, communicate effectively and present information regularly with department leadership and senior executives, and must be able to do so in a confident and professional manner
Pay Rate: $135,000-$145,000 and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
