Shipping Container Surveyor

Neptune Pacific Direct Line (NPDL) is experiencing a period of significant transformation. Formed in 2020, Neptune Pacific Line acquired Pacific Direct Line, bringing together two of the South Pacific’s top shipping and logistics companies to support the full supply chain of our customers in the region. NPDL is part of The Wonderful Company headquartered in Los Angeles, CA. Its other companies include FIJI Water, Justin and Landmark Vineyards, Vintage Nurseries, Wonderful Citrus, Wonderful Pistachios, Teleflora, POM Wonderful and Suterra.

Part of NPDL, Container Repairs and Sales (CRS) provides full empty container services including storage, repairs, sales, modifications and leasing. You will be surveying shipping containers for damage and assessing repair requirements to meet industry standards in a systematic, cost effective and efficient way to meet operational timelines.

About you: 

Your high attention to detail will ensure all inspections are carried out with the greatest accuracy possible and your fantastic organisational and time management skills will ensure you meet and exceed depot timeframes and targets.  We need somebody with a sharp, methodical mind, that can generate repair estimates efficiently against the appropriate industry standards. You will be a self-starter who has a strong work ethic, commitment to attendance and is flexible.

You will also have the ability to pass Ministry of Justice, ACC checks and a drug and alcohol test as part of our recruitment process. Hours of Work:

A minimum of 40 hours a week Monday to Friday between the hours of 6.00am – 6.00pm. Flexibility to work overtime to meet operational requirements will be required. Rostered Saturdays 7.00am – 1.00pm. Great overtime rates (time and a half) offered!
